Author Topic: Question: The Future of Blockland  (Read 1504 times)

I don't feel satisfied with the way we are going:
RTB going bye bye, I suspect Ephi is leaving due to Steam failure (we aren't really a hit anymore on Steam).
Constant downtime.

I feel the future will be dark, depends on how long it will be, but for the mean time I am staying on for the ride.

I feel that blockland is going to die.

I'd speculate but I don't want to get banned.

Oh this is not a "leaving" post but just a question of the future of Blockland.

yeah, im really worried too  :panda:

yeah, it's going downhill, mostly because dumbforget skids just set out to ruin things for other people.

I feel the same way. Things have really gone to stuff recently.

Honestly Badspot should just find these skids and press charges against them.

I feel steam brought about a bad time for us.
None of this negative attention and ddosing would have happened if it wasnt on steam.
The negative attention brought bad things.

Honestly blockland is going downhill, and I really hope it doesnt reach the end of the hill.

I don't think I'll be the same without Blockland. I've met lots of people through it and played so many fun games! In case of an emergency, is it possible to run the game without any master server? I'm clearly not a techie, but based on the fact the Blockland application currently doesn't work, I would assume no.

so you're saying steam is the blockland devil?

the ddosing and stuff would still happen even if it wasn't on steam.

it's the fall of rome
the dark ages are among us
jk i don't think blockland will die anytime soon

I still think that BL is not going downhill... I mean despite the fact of the recent nagativities, I'm sure people will create new ideas to possibly replace RTB, and I'm sure the DDoS attacks will be ceased after a while. I mean BL was built by the community after all.

thank you for blowing what I said out of proportion

steam brought a bout of attention - both negative and positive - to blockland.
None of that attention is guaranteed to be good 100% of the time.

MoR found out about it on steam through a friend who saw it on steam.
If it wasn't on steam, the DDoS attacks would probably have never happened.
