If the graphics card requires a power hookup to it then make sure it's plugged into it. Check wires, etc..

Make sure the CPU power thing is plugged in. It'll either be a 4pin or 8 pin that'll look like this. http://www.hls-systems.com/images/HLS-P4-D865PERL/DSCN4983.JPG or similar.

make sure the huge 12 pin thing is plugged in. just try to plug in everything that fits.

I did forget the pci express connector, lol but that hasn't fixed it.

you can use 2 4-pinned ones.

it only has 1 4 pinned one, lol

Would that be the reason it's not working?

I'll go ahead and return this one and get another one then, lol.

Thanks for the help guys I'm still really friggen new to this and didn't want to pay 200$ + for a overpriced repair I can learn to do myself.

You could have just asked in the megathread before you bought your psu if everything would be compatible

for the 8-pin motherboard supply i only put in one 4-pin plug because i didn't have an equivalent 8-pin plug but my computer works fine regardless
weird

Honestly  thought as long as it had enough volts I was good but from the sound of this:

I don't think an upgraded PSU is going to help me anyways but we'll see when I get back.
