Good Video Editing Computer/Laptop

Hey guys. I'm looking into making youtube videos. And I need a relatively good computer that can edit videos. I'm looking at the Acer Aspire 5536. Is this an ok laptop to do it on? Thanks!

i would think that the computer you actually record videos on would be the ideal computer for video editting.

unless you're talking about vlogging, or filming.

Well I'm looking on craigslist. I'm currently using a Mac mini, but it's the family computer. And it's not crazy editing. Just like on iMovie maker. That's what I've been using.

And I've been using the PS4 to record footage.

Well you're gonna need a good CPU for processing and if your editing software provides accelerated GPU rendering, a decent GPU.
I would recommend maybe 8 GBs of RAM at least

That's all I can really say on the matter; I don't know too much technical stuff about computers but that's what I've learned through my experience

Well the Mac mini only has 4 gigs of RAM but that seems to do pretty well.

Are you wanting to stick with Apple or are you willing to move over to Windows? If so then you can get more bang for your buck. Speaking of which what is your budget?

Well I want a PC since I want to edit stuff. And I don't really have a budget. I'm offering my iPod touch 5th gen. I have a PC but it's like broke. I turn it on and there is a continuous (1 long) beep. And nothing shows up on the monitor.

If you aren't looking to do hardcore gaming on the PC then I'd suggest this if you're looking for mobility

It's cheap and looks okay
