I have an 8600 GT and I get average 43.

i said 8800 not 8600.
2 8600 is a bit better then a 8800

Yeah I know but I'm just trying to point out the difference won't be much.

Fraps 135.  It's really weird though, b/c I get the exact same FPS looking at that scene at any resolution.  1152x864 windowed (what I normally run) and 640x480 windowed both produce 135 FPS.

What are you using? Fraps would be the your best beat.

85 FPS. Then again, the save is a big stack of boxes, so the culling system will hide the bricks you don't see.

EDIT: Try this save: http://solarmods.googlepages.com/FPSComparison.bls
It's a cyllinder stack of 8000 something bricks. Stand on the orange platform, look at the stack and record your FPS with metrics(fps); (Don't use Fraps, please). Then stand on the blue platform on top of the stack, look down, and record your FPS. Yes, I'm aware that the brick count I wrote in the description is wrong, that's because I saved it again after having added another row of cyllinder bricks.

EDIT: Oh, right, forgot my FPS. Roughly 28 on the orange platform, 17 on the blue.

~102 FPS using metrics(fps);

about 275 here.

Doesn't say much about online play though since that will typically drop with others ingame.

Try making 32x32 baseplates out of 1x1 plates in a huge highway and see what FPS you get :cookieMonster:
