Anyone still play this game?

I just started playing it again and Im really getting into it. Im playing as France right now and Portugal is really pissing me off, so I marched my massive army in there to wipe Portugal off the face of the earth (Also moving in on England, Portugals only ally). But the Pope said he will excommunicate me if I attack Portugal so Im going to wait for him to die or for the crusade to be over. Anyways I plan on destroying Portugal, coming back round and taking Spain, and from Paris move up and take England and scotland, then hold my ground while I establish a massive army and head over to Jerusalem.

If anyone wants to play online that'd be cool too

i just bought it.  i've only played a tiny bit of empire, and i've got like 300 hours on rome 2.  what can i expect

not sure only because this is the only one ive played

I like it even though I'm terrible. I do cheat and give myself some money because I literally cannot play this game without cheating

You start off with like 6 territories and the game constantly makes you take over rebel settlements which cuts into your income. You also have to keep upgrading your cities and armies while establishing foreign relations and sending out merchants, spies and ships. And what sucks big time is when you lose your king

from looking at /r/totalwar the general consensus seems to be that if you're not playing with mods for any TW game you're not playing it right.  i suggest going through /r/totalwar for mod suggestions.

Dirty French bastard.

England rules the lands.

lmao
was excommunicated so I just sent an army and killed the pope

not excommunicated anymore :D

And the only nations still left (Who I havent conquered yet):

The Byzantine Empire
Poland
Egypt

And some thing came up bout how this "massive army or w/e" were coming from the east to "annihilate" me or something
so I pulled some magic, sent out like 20,000 troops and took care of business ;)

you're slowly making me want to play this more and more

There's a neat glitch/Easter egg if you have the Medieval 2 expansion packs too

If you open the console and type toggle_fow if will show you every unit on the map and who owns what region (usually its dimmed if you don't have any troops or cities in the area)

So you put that in and go across the Atlantic, all the way across ( if you don't do toggle_fow and have the expansion packs the map just stops in the middle of the Atlantic) you can find the Carribean, Florida and South and Central America.

There you can find 3 Aztec cities and an Aztec warrior with all of their flags fully colored ( which is rare because a fully colored flag means he has maximum power in his city, or army)

There's a rebel settlement in South America, the Carribean, and Florida
