But the police are the good guys!
Not in my area! I've seen them break more laws than most citizens. Littering, traffic violations, etc.

you shouldn't lie to the police, but you don't have to tell them anything if you don't want to
That could make them more suspicious, if you choose to not talk.

CapT, you need to learn to lie to police bro. It may help you one day

Yes, really. You'd be surprised.
1. Protecting a friends name
2. You don't want to get involved with a case (example: you see a crime, but you don't want them knowing you seen because you don't want to be involved)
....thats not lying

Alyx gives awful advice, and he's an awful person for not wanting to help upon witnessing a crime.

You see a crime, they ask you if you seen the crime. You say no.
You lied.
Also I do believe it is a crime to witness a severe crime and not report it. ALSO if you're brought to the stand and you lie its a serious offense as well.

1. If you need to cover up for your friend in a serious situation, you might need new friends. Besides, it could most likely be obstruction of justice if its serious enough, which is a crime in itself and invalidates you being a law abiding citizen
2. Yeah because I totally don't want to see justice served. Also a possible crime if you refer to #1

Sure they might be valid reasons if you are a lazy person. Also, we don't live under fascism yet, so there isn't any outrageous criminal laws in which I would change my opinions on these

yeah forget the police
