War never changes. -A Wise man
not entirely true.

the sentient beings at war, CHANGES
the means by which they attach and/or kill eachother,  CHANGES
the reasons of the dispute, CHANGES
the amount of sentient beings at war, CHANGES
the location and duration of the war, CHANGES
the victor of the war, CHANGES
(I could go on but I will just end with something that does not change)
The fact that war has a negative outcome, NEVER CHANGES

Generally soldiers don't hate each other, but politicians and some officers tend to spread the hate.

On the topic of national socialists:
Not all germans were national socialists at the time. You had the SS which were the elite indoctrinated members of the party would fight to the death and carry out the will of the Riddler. Then you had the Regular Germany army made up of average people. Generals like Rommel often let jews go and treated POWs fairly.

Also as for the Taliban fighters, a lot of come from places where they have minimal technology and have no clue what outside affairs are like. To them we are invaders and they are fighting for their home.

I dont understand, I dont believe ive seen the movie that this is from.
Band of Brothers. It was a mini series about the 101st Airborne, it's also really good.

yup, war is all centered around perspective

its from fallout you wank
You know, I actually just thought it was a famous quote that was miscredited to all sorts of games; what I posted was a (misguided) joke. Good to know where that actually came from though. The hostility was a bit much!

war is a waste of my tax money canadians dont even know how to fight and all we have are stuffty used submarines lol

Riddler did nothing wrong

tell me why exterminating the jews is a bad thing

hardmode: you can't mention the loss of human life or their culture

canadians can't fight because they use maple syrup bottles as guns and squirt some at you on the battlefield

Counter challenge: Tell me why exterminating the jews was a good thing without looking like a bigot or sociopath

but it makes war all the sweeter

Counter challenge: Tell me why exterminating the jews was a good thing without looking like a bigot or sociopath
their influence on the modern western culture has been nothing but negative
there are rampant accusations of child enthusiasm against well-renowned jewish individuals (google hollywood child enthusiasm)
It's been proven that circumcision (a primarily jewish practice) reduces potential pleasure received during love
jews did 9/11
gas the kikes race war now

Pretty all the major nations that took part in WW2 have had a history of war crimes and genocide.

US - Native Americans, Japanese-Americans
UK - Africans, Native Americans, Indians
France - Africans, Arabs, Native Americans
Canada - Native Americans
USSR - It's own citizens, German Civilians

yet the media overplays the whole evil germans thing and poor innocent jews cards. The world needs to learn that nothing is black and white, good vs evil does not exist, just bloody politics.

Regardless of sides, most of the soldiers on each are just following orders to kill the enemy. I just watched a movie that took place in WWII and in the movie, one of the members of an allied team did not execute an afraid German officer -- I felt sad, because that officer had a family and the sorts.

In the end, the officer had the chance to kill an american man, but instead took him into a barn and tended to his wounds. They barely understood each other but they the officer did share pictures of his family. In the end though, he was wounded and died; the american soldier was saved by the German officer.

What I am saying is that history classes and the military channel depict the Germans who fought in the war as evil, but they are just following orders. Both sides are human beings.

I just wanted to speak my mind. War is evil and the pawns on both sides are told to hate each other.
i've seen this movie before. isn't it saints and soldiers?

also if i'm not mistaken Mao Zedong leads everyone in number of unnatural deaths occuring during his/her rule. 40-70 million people died of unnatural causes under Mao Zedong's rule, the US, Soviets, and Germans can't really compare.
