But still, if people are living in a state they wouldn't really move because a bill allows people to segregate against them, they would stay and fight. It's like saying black people should just have moved north, but some just stayed and dealt with it.

we all kinda know eventually all states will all have the same legislation regarding different peoples rights.
acceptance is so open nowadays, that states cant afford to be the odd one out and discriminate.
its been hundreds of years now since the country was founded. and nearly all equal rights have been passed during the last 50-60. we are recently moving at a pretty good pace.

When the industrial boom hit, a lot of black people moved up north in search of a better living rather than living the life of a share cropper. Unfortunately, many of those northern whites who had never seen a black person felt imitated and eventually you had groups like the 2nd kool kids klub operating in the north.

Even if all the LGBT community were to move to San Francisco, they would still face discrimination by their own kind.

But hey, no one is tied to the land. We have to the right to search for places where we can find happiness.
