Really, it kinda seemed like you didn't like him.

corrected my post

forget to put "can't" lel

With the complexity and obfuscation in all this terminology, it's probably going to be decades before the movement accomplishes any sort of change, which is sorta sad.
I am confident that there are enough sane people in the world to keep things like "gender fluid" off the census.

How can the movement both claim that transgenderism is inborn, yet also people can switch between genders over time?

Being comprised primarily of unstable and horribly confused teenagers probably helps.

I think the terminology needs some sort of overhaul, but it's already a bit too late.

I'd be fine with adopting some of these terms, but calling myself 'cisgender' sounds sort of handicapped. It's an issue of euphony for me, not meaning lol.

What the hell is that even supposed to mean? It brings to mind the image of a cyst. Which may well be accurate.

cisgender means "normal," dummy
You're right, it's a biological fact that you have a snake or a vagoo. If you're in that insanely tiny fraction with the great luck of being a hermaphrodite, then sorry, you lost the grand lottery and that's the way it is.
sigh

While I really don't care what people do or call themselves (I'm sure I've posted that before) it does kinda bother me that you can't even seriously enter this discussion without having a medical degree these days.

Why can't some things just be common sense?
Entire languages and social constructs shouldn't be artifically changed and reworked just to pander to a small minority.

I know people will hate me for saying this but I feel sometimes it's okay for people/socicity to point to someone and say "no, you are this. you should act like this". All the stress on indivdualism and self-identification just doesn't seem beneficial to me. A little social restriction is a good thing.

I have heard that there are those in the lgbt community who discriminate against aloveuals.

there are gay people who talk stuff about biloveual people all the time

it's a small minority but it's still millions of people. The idea is that normal, straight, cisgendered people would only have to make small changes to their vocabulary and social policies to improve the lives of these millions of people.

Well of course not, but if you were forced by law to identify as the wrong gender on legal documents and go to the wrong bathrooms, you'd probably have a different tone.

so like I understand that consists only a fraction of gays but,

do they honestly expect to be treated equally if they belittle of other deviant loveualities

Why not self-identify within the established social constructs.
They get their freedom, and can choose their gender.
And we don't have to change anything.

no better yet
why not treat both genders equally so it doesn't matter anymore
i mean if we didnt have segragated bathrooms that wouldnt be an issue right?

i wonder how many of these people existed before the invention of tumblr

Well, because to most transgendered people, it's not that they're making a conscious decision one day to start being female, it's something that they've been forever. What you're suggesting is essentially the same as "Why don't poor people just buy more money?".

Sounds good to me.
