Got it on xbone.
Went to the game page, clicked get this game, and there was nothing to it. Free, too. But that might just be because it's beta.

XBone already got it on free beta. And as I said above, PC should get it either tomorrow or anytime soon.

i use it and i annihilate ground units. if im up against a titan i just dash towards it and pop smoke

40mm kills pilots in one direct hit and has a decent amount of splash damage, I don't have any difficulty dealing with footsloggers with the autocannon.
I've just seen an embarrassingly large amount of people taking chainguns into last Titan standing where they do nothing but get rocked by the other guns.

I understand that the grunts and spectres are supposed to be cannon fodder but wow they are completely worthless. Surely it wouldn't destabilize the game too much if they were actually able to kill pilots, right? I don't think I've ever even been shot by one.
