Author Topic: Plans of updating game interface?  (Read 11143 times)

You can rotate bricks in a way do you don't need to use wedges or those ugly "illusions".

Um. What are you on about?

Um. What are you on about?
a new feature I guess

so instead of using wedges you can rotate bricks at 45 degree angles and such

completely irrelevant to a GUI but you know...

Blockland is a caps-locks game, and going with that stupid modern "lowercase" design idea that has poisoned graphic design since Apple started it is really stupid. There's a pre-established design aesthetic, and it makes sense to follow it.
i think it can look quite nice but it's used incorrectly a lot

SC

For the cancel and play buttons and the rest that use that font. don't use that font
use like segoe ui light or something

Yeah, to be honest, Nexa is a cool font and all but Segoe UI Light (or maybe Open Sans Light?) would look so much better in this case

I can't wait for it to be done, seriously the only UI change I will ever grab for blockland will be the new Blota.

frankly i dont really like any of the new ideas that the community has talked about. the logo is fine and doesn't need to be changed. the GUI is alright and doesnt need to be changed. the interface doesnt really need anything changed. we just need game play changes like better vehicle physics and a way to reduce lag.

never mind, some of these suggestions in this thread are good.

blota for official ui. No, srsly. Change default one into optional and blota into new, to see if it merges with the comunity

ew no. that windows metro style seriously clashes with the game's general aesthetic. it's like giving call of duty a mac-styled GUI.

What would you like to see in a ui mod?

Update? What are those?

Well, everyone else agrees with the metro style. Fluff how about custom skins? Is that possible?

It would be simple enough to implement skinnable buttons and colours
