Or we can just like burn all the excess bunnies like those folks up somewhere in Europe

i still like my hydroelectric idea.

Or instead of building immense structures that harvest very little energy for a very large capital investment cost, we can just build nuclear reactors that produce stufftons of energy with relatively little waste that is actually contained rather than spewed into the environment. That will work just fine for the next hundred years until we develop nuclear fusion technology.
there's a problems with this.

People: People are scared of a nuclear meltdown, and a majority of people are willing to shoot down the idea with past incidents, Fukushima, Three-Mile Island accident, and Chernobyl. Also it's been a popular misconception spread by anti-nuclear activists that the waste produced by nuclear power-plants is not properly contained, and is ran off into the ocean and our water sources. Some politicians back my previous statement.

Untill the efficiency of solar panels is improved its going to be hella expensive to use

theres nothing to improve in solar technology because the raw amount of energy that reaches Earth's surface from the sun is very small compared to what fossil fuels can give, and that itself is very small compared to what nuke energy can give

not to mention solar power is completely circumstantial in its operation due to weather conditions. so half the time there isnt even any energy to really collect.

surprised no one has mentioned geothermal power yet.

Sirdoodle did already.

or yknow

nuclear and geothermal

and other non stupid solutions

solar farming?
what do you like plant suns or sumthin tss tss

Geothermal and hydropower is in reality the only good ways of natural energy farming.

Fukushima was a minor incident that only occurred because of massive damage. Chernobyl was a piss poor Ukrainian station that melted down in what, the 80s? Three Mile Island is still in use today, didn't melt down.

Waste produced by power plants is stored on-site now and perhaps one day we will figure out whether it's ok to just shove it in the desert of Nevada. Until then, it's pretty safe.

Regardless, it's going to take multiple sources of power to completely power the world. Plus geographically, some power sources don't even make sense in separate regions.

i'm aware of this. i would like nuclear power, im not defending anti-nuclear power. im pointing out that a large majority of people are scared of it.

I seriously cannot respect anyone who associates with those Greenpeace clowns who want to promote the conservation of species, clean energy, environmental issues, etc, yet strictly oppose nuclear energy and GMOs. The entire organization is basically eco-terrorists bent on harassing fishermen and breaking into powerplants so that they can get arrested and pretend like they're being righteous martyrs falling victim to the oppression of the government.

The extent of their hypocrisy is evident in a 2013 vandalism of 1000 or so test plot GMO plants in Oregon. It really shows how they aren't concerned with having the safety of GMO plants evaluated, they just want to destroy stuff and pretend like they're warriors fighting for a greater cause.

Solar farming is a stupid idea.
How the hell are we going to grow suns??
