This isnt really a suggestion of want, rather more of a ask of "is this even possible?"
I have a really large project in mind, and it involves racing. In original game, the vehicles are really large hover speed racers and in some of the more intense difficulties, speeds average at about 800 km/h (500~ mph), and while speeds of that magnitude are way way way to fast for blockland, I was wondering if a vehicle that maybe drove about 5x as fast (at best guess) of the standard Jeep would even be a possible thing to do in terms of control and collision.
I'd be worried that the speeds would be so darn fast that the collisions would not be able to be calculated in time and vehicles would get stuck, and if the vehicle was wheel based it would phase through any ramps it would try to go up.
I would think the latter wouldnt be much of a problem if the vehicles hovered over the bricks at a certain heights.
either way im wondering if something going that fast would just be too much for the game to handle effeciently.
another thing im curious about is having a camera tied to a vehicle in 3rd person view, so for example the game is on an incline, the camera would be inclined as well so the vehicle was parallel to the bottoms of your screen, instead of the camera having the horizon as the parallel
if any of this isnt clear enough i can elaborate more probably
