If the domain name got discontinued I would buy it then create auth/master servers and proceed to continue on. Though I'm not sure if that is legal or not, I hope it wouldn't.

I'd play other things. I'd be sad for the game, but not distraught. I've had my fair share of fun with Blockland. I wouldn't have any regrets over how much more I could've played.

I think I would miss the forums more though, since they're the only forums I feel comfortable with and are a pretty good time-waster. I don't know if I'd find another community I can fit into again.
I've not really tried to fit into this one, I've just been visiting for the past 5 and a half years and have become a bit of a fixture.
