How many times have you almost died

3. Been in some close calls with fast moving vehicles while I'm on my bike
4. When I was really young a large television fell on me, luckily it only left a small scar above my eye
5. Had carbon monoxide poisoning twice
6. Been in a sealed camper with a messed up Kerosene heater, I'd be dead if it wasn't for one person
7. Almost took a bullet to the head
8. Poisoning
9. Almost drowned in the ocean while at Florida
10. Multiple choking occurrences.

probably 0. the closest i've had was tripping while hiking and almost falling off a like 300 foot cliff.

It is so easy to die, I guarantee you all have had at least 3 near-death experiences and have not even realized it.  Especially you older ones.

It totally depends on what you qualify as near-death. I've been surfing and smacked my head against the sea floor really hard after falling off a large wave many times, and any one of those times my neck could have snapped and I could have died. I don't consider those near-death though. In the realm of "what if this one thing had been different"-s, stupid scenarios like "I was at a stop light and I could have not noticed that I wasn't pressing the brake down all the way while I changed songs on my iPod and I could have rolled into traffic!" pop up.

Choked on a candy when I was about four. I was unconscious and my grandma saved my life.
And I survived a gang drive-by as a child. My dad got in some trouble with them.
and I guess its worth mentioning, my liver almost failed as a child after having some Tylenol when I was sick.
