As of May 20th, 2014, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service will be discontinued and it will no longer be possible to use online features of Nintendo DS/DSi and Wii software such as online play, matchmaking and leaderboards.

Unaffected services

The following services are not affected by the termination, and will continue to be available after May 20th:

Internet Channel
Nintendo DS Browser
Nintendo DSi Browser
Nintendo DSi Shop
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Pay & Play
Wii Shop Channel
YouTube
Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games will not be affected but it will not be possible to use online features of Wii software played in Wii Mode on Wii U, and of Nintendo DS games played on Nintendo 3DS family systems.

There's so many good Wii games that don't require WiFi that I can't name them all. Same with DS. The only real bad thing I see is that all of the DS Pokemon games are pretty much useless.

fairly certain youtube and netflix will still work since nintendo didn't "publish" them

i was never really a fan of CoD but im guessing SP isnt that fun but as long as you still have that then

rip in peace spontaneous online mario kart tournaments

Of course Netflix and that stuff will still work.
The reason why the multiplayer games are going down it due to them using Gamespy matchmaking and Gamespy was bought out by another company.
