My question is how the forget they're gonna make a Movie based off a Open world sandbox game where everyones character is different.
I mean minecraft itself doesn't even have a storyline to it.

why does the most overrated game in the history even need a movie?

Why, why does the most overrated game in the history just doesn't stop already, goddamn it.

do you even english

My question is how the forget they're gonna make a Movie based off a Open world sandbox game where everyones character is different.
If they can make an original story based solely on the concept of "Battleships" that doesn't even relate to the actual core concept of that game, then they can make a story based around Minecraft.

It's not like "Lego" as a concept has a natural storyline around it either. There are people who get paid hundreds of thousands to come up with stories and screenplays for things and they'll always do it, regardless of how vague the focus is or how unrelated to a movie storyline the original product is.

I'm happy to bet that once this gets steam behind it and closes in on release there will suddenly be Minecraft-movie related skins for sale on Xbox Live for Minecraft.

1 lego movie and stuff brakes loose

I still don't understand the hype for minecraft

its a game that just about anyone, hardcore or casual, can enjoy. it induces the user's creativity and sense of adventure to create a story for themselves. however, this glint in an otherwise autistic turd has faded for me and I can't find myself playing the game for ten minutes before getting bored.

minecraft lost its luster long ago and kids still think its the best stuff na. too bad it's loving terrible now. And the movie is not being made just because of the lego movie, they would have talked with warner bros long before lego movie was revealed. They're making it because it's extremely popular and will sell very well. see: pokemon 2000

It won't be aimed at teenagers. Teenagers were the original audience for this game but now the audience is 9-year olds
Were teenagers ever the main audience? I was under the impression that Minecraft was a game. I don't see how it favors any age group.

I mean minecraft itself doesn't even have a storyline to it.
the only god damn story is the blue and green text after defeating the ender dragon

the only god damn story is the blue and green text after defeating the ender dragon
and that was a joke towards making fun of the player in a way.
so really it isn't a story.

Even though, Lego is much larger than just a simple block building survival sandbox game.

Honestly if they manage to somehow pull this off and it's actually good, I will not complain.
although not like they really have to try or anything cause as soon as they say "MINECRAFT MOVIE NOW IN THEATERS" about a million 11 year olds will be flocking to the nearest theater to see it no matter how bad it is.

Lol at everyone stuffting on minecraft

The fact that their marketing team decided that making a movie about minecraft would be profitable enough to bother making suggests that virtually all of you will probably watch it anyway.
