Author Topic: [Petition] Maximum penalty for Missouri teenagers caught beating dog in viral vi  (Read 7191 times)

They deserve community service and counseling at worst. The maximum punishment is six years in jail. You'd be taking away their entire childhood for a stupid mistake.
It's still stupid to send two kids to spend the rest of their childhood in jail over animal abuse.
no it's not, they're sadistic cunts and this kind of torture can easily translate to abuse with human victims

aw, preventative punishment.
you are a very liberal one

>implying there is such a thing as unintentional animal abuse
not having enough money to feed your animal and starving it happens often in many homes.
sometimes the people even abandon the pet or forget it accidentally, which is a form of animal abuse but unintentional

So you're going to sentence them to six years in jail because of something you expect they might to do?

if they planned it out and intentionally knew what they were doing then I say 6 years is perfectly fair

well do they seem like kids with a future?

(im not saying it's right to make petitions to change sentences but still.)

Six years in jail over animal abuse is utterly unreasonable. Do you realize what the maximum punishment would do to the kids?

What they did is undeniably wrong, and I'm glad that the dog was able to recover from being attacked, but robbing two kids of their future and screwing them up even more isn't going to help make a point.

so? give em fines. its whats always been done when people hit their animals.
i dont see the difference.

age has nothing to do with it if they are teens
they had the same mindset as a 21 year old would have if they intentionally abused the animal

you know what sentence these stupid kids you find today. the london riots of 2011 a bunch of kids used mark duggans death as an excuse just to loot stores others actually protested over mark duggan and relevant issues. you see these kids know no better they just think their all tough until someone knocks em out and the kid starts crying. kids today don't learn discipline or any other things to know what there doing or some people are forgeted up in the head. These kids should just be sentenced to jail for 1 year- 10 months. forget em, stupid richardheads

those are both intentional as far as I'm concerned
for one thing, you shouldn't have an animal if you can't take care of it, and it's not like you won't know he's starving
secondly, how can you forget about a pet? that's not even an option

a dog isn't worth 6 years

but people make mistakes sometimes
it's not intentional

Age has a lot to do with their sentence, so don't give me that spiel. The kids' crimes don't deserve the maximum punishment.
