We have a dts exporter for blender. Well would it be possible to make a .dts importer?
I dont know much about python but wouldnt its script bassically just be the opposite of the exporter?

Yes, it is possible. You'd have to write something that can parse this file format
http://docs.garagegames.com/torque-3d/official/content/documentation/Artist%20Guide/Formats/dts_format.html
and this file format
http://docs.garagegames.com/torque-3d/official/content/documentation/Artist%20Guide/Formats/dsq_format.html
and then export it to something useful or directly load it in blender.
