Lord of Nostalgic

Nos.tal.gia
The term nostalgia describes a sentimentality for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.[1] The word is a learned formation of a Greek compound, consisting of νόστος (nóstos), meaning "homecoming", a Homeric word, and ἄλγος (álgos), meaning "pain, ache", and was coined by a 17th-century medical student to describe the anxieties displayed by Swiss mercenaries fighting away from home. Described as a medical condition—a form of melancholy—in the Early Modern period, it became an important trope in Romanticism.[1]

Maps

I can still smell them

pinking by crouching through bricks so nobody knew it was you.

hell, crouch-shooting through bricks in general

Not a lot of people talk about water bricks being a memory of good times, which is kinda disheartening. I remember fondly building a nice little water slide (yet not exactly whom it was with which is important sadly), and this was pretty much the epitome of collaboration.  We would take turns deciding which brick to use. We had a choice between making the slide higher/lower, the current speed, and the direction in which to take it. I think I have a save of it but I reckon it's too old to have it anymore.

I also remember when Pandan used to do things that were things, I mean no harm but really my favorite thing of his was the babykart and the raceways. The problem though is you could never catch up when racing with others because it wasn't hard and we kept at a constant speed. It was still fun, but the best thing ever was I think an 8 person race on snails.

oh boy

I can still hear the sounds the main menu used to make when hovering through the options.
and maps
the raceway map was the best

Staying up all night sledding to the "end of the map" on Bedroom.

Oh yeah, I remember that if you went far enough, there would be a point where you would just fall of the map and have an endless fall.

nope. It goes infinitely. Eight hours of sitting on a sled, talking, and playing with the stereo proves this wrong.

oh stuff
so did you just stop because you got bored or some limitation?

I guess it was on the slate kind of maps, because I remember spawning a jeep with people and just going until we would reach the part where you fall off.

yeah i think it was because slate was just a massive .dts model or something that you could build on.

idk

i have fond memories of jetz old skiing server
especially the days i had admin and gravity gunned it away on players lol

Yeah, old Slate was a flat and transparent interior with an edge that you could fall off.

We stopped so we could sleep. That was the best experience I ever had on Blockland. We were great friends but now he's just drifting around the internet somewhere.

Yes. Ergo, Ice Palace was built at the edge of the slate---
