Not sure why you'd consider Setvermania after seeing the reason RTB shut down - if you get DDoS'd they won't reinstate your connection until you purchase expensive DDoS protection. Not a sensible choice.

i personally don't really have much of an opinion on all this 'drama', but you should seriously count on a DDoS happening once this is up.

This could be an out-of-control process hammering the CPU. How do you know it's network-related? Even if this incident was a DoS attack, how long did it last? Less that 8 hours?
None of my other former clients have ever experienced severe long-term lag.
Even if this does happen on a regular basis to HammerHost, my Dogecoin mine provides an ample supply of money to pay for DDoS protection from Servermania.
