Hi, to start off I'd like to note that I'm an alt, obviously. This is because there is this tiny chance that some of my other friends see this thread and I'm not quite ready for that. But this is not what this thread is about so dont discuss this please.
Five months ago a met a girl online. We cammed a bit, talked a lot and watched a few episodes of Game of Thrones together. She is a very kind, beautiful and smart 16 year old girl(gamer). One night, within the first two weeks I knew her, she had a horrible nosebleed, it would not stop. I told her she might have to warn her parents, who were asleep at the time, about it because it was going on for over a hour and was only getting worse. She went to the hospital where it eventually stopped on its own. The next week was occupied with her getting tests and having to go back and forth to the hospital because of it. She knew she had anemia but it was never this serious. After some extensive tests they diagnosed it. It is leukemia.
This diagnosis was a shock for both of us. Even though the odds of her surviving are high she will feel horrible all the time, wont be able to do anything and lose her hair for a year or so. We still kept talking almost every day, even though we couldn't really do anything together we still kept in touch. I was never hitting on her or anything we were always just talking about things like holidays, the news and games. But something always came up that I just didn't know how to react properly to. It was the symptoms of her leukemia. I just had trouble expressing sympathy through text without sounding gay, cold or annoying so usually I just tried not to talk too much about it. But when I did that today I felt bad, it felt like I was just being selfcentered. So I asked her in a pretty odd way how I should respond to her talking to me about her pain. But I was really awkward about it and she figured I just really wanted to ask her something important so she insisted I should just do it, ask what I had to ask. After like 15 minutes I asked her if she wanted to be my girlfriend.
She reacted confused and about it and we had a brief discussion about whether this is a good idea or not. After that she said yes.
So now I, as a 17 year old dude who has never had a girlfriend, have a girlfriend who has cancer and I can only talk to her through text. How do I make this work? What should I do? Blockland forumers help me please.
