Author Topic: How to catch a recurring thief?  (Read 6485 times)

joking im just mad right now
okay, well I wouldn't wait in the car if I were you. imagine how much time they'd have to run away before you even got a chance to touch them. wait somewhere close by where you could see them but they wouldn't see you

The suggestions are going to get more and more elaborate as the topic goes on, I can feel it

Wire a nuke to the car and wait for that motherforgeter to dare open a door.

Brighter Dark confirmed witch. We are hanging at dawn.

>OP sees shadow bent over going through his car
>sneaks up behind, raises baseball bat with nails hammered through it
>slams down, too dark to see, keeps hitting
>turn car lights on, it's OP's friend
>note in car- "it was only a joke, I'm sorry for letting it get so out of hand, here's $50 for any inconvenience"
>$50, license and sunglasses all covered in blood
>look down at friend, get on knees, check for pulse
>feel the last and final beat of his heart as he dies

OP, people like you are a danger to society. If glasses and a driver's license warrant brain damage I fear what you would do if someone so much as called your mom fat... you would go to prison if you actually even tried touching the guy. This isn't hamirabi's code, killing a petty thief or causing brain damage is a much more severe crime. If all you do is put him in a wheelchair, his family calls the cops and the trial is now "why was this child attacked so savagely," instead of "why was my car being robbed."

Also, depending on your state, you may not even win a court battle of any kind because it is kind of your fault for leaving the car unlocked. I don't know the term anymore, but some states won't reward you if you are 50%+ at fault.

Funny how some of you think he's actually going to forget this thief up.

Give a wad of $200 USD to a judge here and the judge is yours. And "why was this child attacked so savagely" is consequence of "why was my car being robbed". If the cause isn't justified then the effect is null as well. Breaking and entering is a pretty serious crime.

75% chance that OP's going to get forgeted up.

put a bomb in your car

Shockingly, a lot of people leave their cars unlocked when it's parked in their driveway.

You can't leave your car unlocked here even if it's in a private garage with bulletproof steel alloy doors.

Here in Estados Unidos, I can leave my coches unlocked in my garage. If the coche is outside though, they are always locked.

We refer to cars here as "Autos". +1 for trying.

I am calling my school board for false info. They are either called "el caro" or "el coche" here. I'm not going by caro because it also means "expensive".

Hit him/them with a baton steal his wallet and leave him/them in a ditch. If he suffers amnesia and robs you again. He'll/they'll eventually realize not to rob you.

Or, you know, call the police.

EDIT: Try not to commit any felonies. :)
