I heard they are good. I don't see how the XL would matter

my shades almost melted because of 3d 6/10 better without 3d

I recommend the 2DS over the 3DS. The 3D effect is kinda buggy and very headache educeing. Anyways the 2DS is 100 dollars cheaper and still plays the games at the same quality.

Get a Gameboy Advanced.
Already have one

Looks very big though. I'd need something I can fit in my pocket

Sure. I have one and it's really neat-o, although I never use the 3D function, so you might want to consider a 2DS instead. There are a lot of solid titles for it with more to come, so imo it's worth it.

The 2DS is small enough to fit in the back pocket of your average jeans.

I have a 3DS, and I like it.
and if you get one of select games you can also get a free copy of pokemon X and pokemon Y during march, so you get a free 40 dollar game included.

I can actually fit my 2DS in my front pocket

with the case on

but yeah, I'd recommend the 2DS over the 3DS because it's that much more comfortable to hold

I have an XL. when I bought mine it was only $180 on amazon, which is just a $10 difference rather than $30. even if it was thirty tho, I'd have gotten the XL. especially now that I have one. I've never used a regular 3DS but the size on the XL feels nice in your hands, and there's certainly nothing wrong with a bigger screen. pluuus longer battery life

but it's ugly and really awkward. if you can't quite afford a 3DS I would suggest the 2DS. but if you have the money to spare, I wouldn't get it. the 3D would be a lot nicer if you didn't have to be still while using it, but personally I've never had problems with headaches from it
