Author Topic: Is it worth it to buy a 3DS?  (Read 7412 times)

wth is with people recommending the psv, it still sucks even after a year.

wth sony, get your stuff straight.
It's not terrible. It has Persona 4 Golden and a non-buggy Virtue's Last Reward. And don't tell Sony to put their stuff together when THEY'RE making a way to connect your handheld to the tv, it'd be so easy now with the gamepad to have a way of connecting your 3DS to the WiiU.
Nintendo is focusing more on their handheld devices, while Sony is focusing on their consoles. So yeah.

I have the XL, but really it depends.
it is such a flaw to have the lower screen scratching the god damn top screen because it sticks out a bit (although I heard this is a problem on the regular 3DS as well). If no, then buy a 2DS. If so, regular.
Oh, the XL does that too? That's really loving terrible then. That would be my main reason for buying an XL.

In that case I'm happier with a 3DS. A bigger screen and battery life are nice, but I've got no problems with the 3DS for those. And having a smaller size can be nicer. While I don't normally carry it in my pocket (often it's in my bag) I do like being able to carry it in a pocket, even if it is still a bit chunky.

if the 3ds feels chunky in your pocket, it's probably because you're chunky B)

too bad ps4 sucks

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Slow the forget down.

Wii-U is selling poorly and it's causing Nintendo to rethink their marketing strategy. The loving CEO of Nintendo is now taking a paycheck cut all because of this loving Wii-U system and they lost almost all third party support.

No one wants a loving Xbone.

PS4's sell out in a matter of loving minutes when they are on the shelves and everyone asks for one. It is the most popular and demanding console and you tell me the PS4 sucks? You better check yoself before you shrek yoself.

all that matters is the software. if there are games on there that you want, or there are games coming out on it that you want, get it. if not, don't buy it.

Is your sole purpose just to enter topics and then blather on about stuff that's unrelated and not appreciated?
No one here actually gives a forget about how popular PS4 is or PS Vita.

We're just discussing the 3DS and 3DS XL, and whether it is worth owning one, not what alternatives are better.

This is a very good point.

I got my 3DS when they first came out, but I didn't have much in mind for what I wanted to own.
I certainly felt like the 3DS didn't have much to offer at the time.

But as soon as you find games you want, which I did, then it's a lot of fun. Definitely have a set of games in your mind first.

Well, I heard 2DS had limited online options.

If you don't own a gameboy and have GBA games, get a Nintendo DS or DS Lite. If you only have DS games or have a Gameboy, get a 3DS. The XL is for people who don't find the regular screens enough to satisfy their thirst for quality. I've used a 3DS once and the 3D on it looks very cool while playing Pokemon Y and it didn't give me any eyestrain or headache.

Ninjedit: And the 2DS looks stupid.

That explains why you rather have an inferior product.

And the 2DS looks stupid.
And it makes you look stupid because you cant handle 3D like a man

It's not even the kind of 3D that jumps in your face. It's more like a cheap gimmicky optical illusion that only works with one angle.
