Nowadays people use Slayer. It's a good system for hosting minigames that is dedicated and supports default minigames.

However, if you prefer the older add-ons, default minigame should work automatically once you create a minigame. Dedicated minigame is activated by typing /dedicateminigame while you are in the minigame you want to dedicate.

You need to type /setdefaultminigame for that too
