Author Topic: Guy using a £10k marathon bike as a BMX  (Read 3383 times)

You mean as in the handicapped british currency. Europe uses euro.
idk how its handicapped but ok

That stuff's hard enough to do with a BMX bike, wow.

Wow, that is impressive. Some of those locations are cool as hell too, where do you even find an abandoned airplane?
There are many places you can find them, but you'd probably need explicit access to get in. For instance there is the Roswell plane graveyard and the Mojave Desert plane graveyard where there is access to thousands of abandoned jets, even empty 747s.

surprised it didnt fall apart

this guy is like all bmx/skaters. loving starfishs. i can name loving numerous times when i went to the park and these skaters and stuff wanted to fight me.

Exactly.

You can do all those stunts on a 100 dollar bike. So yeah, by definition he is a rich douchebag. That's what this ad is promoting, rich douchebags.

"Just showing off that 10,000 dollar bike, this is what I do on a every day basis don't mind me folks and my awesome bike!"

Here's a thing I learned about expensive things, and why you're just being a jealous poorcigarette. :)

“I would never pay that much for that overpriced thing”

Have you ever tried one? No? Then shut your mouth. Have you actually tried one? Didn’t like it? Then why bother in the first place? Move on with your life and spend in something you think is worth your money. Never in my life I’ve heard somebody say “F**k Ferrari/Porsche/Rolls Royce/etc, they should lower their prices so I can buy one, these cars are not worth their tag” etc. People simply say “I can’t afford it, it’s not for me, I buy something else”. That’s because these cars are not built nor meant for everybody. If I were a professional driver, I’d like my car to be top of the top perfect in performance, aesthetics, accessories etc. because my job would benefit from that.

Yes, his [they] cost a lot... If their prices are fair or overkill, it’s up to the individual and his priorities, but for sure nobody is pointing a gun at you to buy them.
From a little something a guitarist wrote about a specific expensive custom guitar.

Just buy a cheaper bike
Because if/when it fails/breaks it's less rage-inducing if you spent 200 dollars compared to 10000

Also, he didn't buy the bike.
It was lent to him by a multi-billion pound company who funds their own Bike race team.

They can afford to let someone mess around on a 10k bike when it gets several million views in advertising.

I don't think they're suggesting people actually use their 10k roadbikes for BMX tricks.

Also, bear in mind that the bike is actually closer to $15000 USD, rather than $10000

Glad we are on the same page.

I can afford the bike, why would I buy one? I'd rather buy a 10,000 dollar car.

The entire point of buying an expensive bike is so that it won't break. That's why it is so valuable. It is expensive because it is durable and well-made. He is a professional, and therefore he is buying a professional bike. The bike is expensive because it is of extremely high quality. I'm not sure if I can say it any simpler than that...
