It's fun to chase after racers and beat them down on this game, except when I crash into something and that racer is miles away from me

This game confuses me. You're pretty much expected to be godly at racing games from the get-go (from what I can tell, anyway, especially since it's a constantly online game (unless you hit singleplayer like a scrub)), yet the stupid tutorials at the beginning are designed for 8-year-olds.

Aside from how much of a pain in the ass it is in my experience, love this game, really want to get it on PC if it isn't still locked to 30 FPS.

arcade style racing games dont fit well when fps locked to 30. everything is too fast, and response time from the player dwindles because not enough visual information is getting to you.

30 fps should only be there if you have a lower end PC. 60+ for an arcade racing game is well needed. hell, go look at Wipeout. that game is so fast you wouldnt be able to play at 30 fps.

It's free roam, yes, but I wouldn't compare it to any of the older games with free roam.
