Author Topic: Michael Schumacher now unlikely to survive his coma.  (Read 6038 times)

Former F1 legend, Michael Schumacher, was severely injured in a skiing accident in Europe. He was put into a medically induced coma and given surgery. That was on December 29, 2013. Two and a half months later, he's still in the coma and reports say he probably will never wake up. I never knew him that well in the sports world except for smashing several track records and being a hotheaded F1 champion.

Did the doctors hear his heart racing?

that joke was terrible  :panda:

Just a few days late for a Christmas miracle.

F1 is the racing cars right?

30 guys all with the same car go around in circles for an hour or 2.

what kind of person can be hotheaded about that? by definition, that could be one of the most boring "sports" there is.

But it's hella cool when they crash and explode.

I'd say it's outdone by speed skating. That doesn't even have a car.

But it's hella cool when they crash and explode.

they all say that until it happens. then they all put on sad faces. the fans are lying to themselves lol

i don't see how its boring when the cars can push 300 Km/h on tracks that are on average 3 miles long
but to each his own

I'm not a fan. I just like seeing stuff explode.

fast = fun?

it kinda takes a simple mind to be that entertained that easily XD

the "game" or sport itself seems so simplistic that you may as well sit in the rotunda watching a giant one of these representing whats on track.

Side-point: I find it very disastrous and perplexing to use km/h and miles in the same sentence unless you're directly comparing them.

Actual-point: So the fact that it can exist is the sole-purpose for watching it happen over and over again? Are chemical plant workers also playing a sport?

i wouldn't say its simplictic at all
the engines rev to 18k (used to be 20K in the v10 era)
pit stops never take more than 5 seconds for fuel + tires
drivers are in a open roosterpit and can face g-forces up to 5gs
the faster the cars go the better they can corner due to the way the downforce works
they don't stop because of the rain (unlike NASCAR)

no it exists so rich people and car manufacturers have a extra way to promote themselves/spend their money

You're thinking of NASCAR.

An F1 track looks more like this:

We'd never tell!

*Schumacher Family gets online*

w0t :o

:c

On the topic, I know Michael Schumacher holds the world record lap times at Suzuka in Japan and Circuit De Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.  Not sure on what else, I'd have to look it up.
