i talk to ephi daily through kik and messenger and so forth
he is incredibly nice to his friends when they deserve it

but his public appearance as a moderator was only bad around the people who deserved it

Giving Ephialtes the benefit of the doubt, he was a fair moderator most of the time. I'd say about 1-3% of the bans he passed out were unnecessary, not justified, or just out of spite because he didn't like the user (notably Kalphiter, although he did deserve several bans)
