You don't need to call loving animal control anyways. Thats how you overreact and you don't need professional grade "training" to handle a creature in your house unless it was the size of a bearlion (those things are horrifying).

Erm, we dont know if the snake is venoumous or not for the 10th time.

OP, maybe you can quickly open the door, take a picture on your ipod quickly and close the door and see if you saw the snake or not. You might need to zoom in around to see the snake because it is small as the others said.

op, tell you're parents or someone that there is a snake, and don't try to pick it up. if you get bit, treat it like it had venom and do proper first aid, don't try anything stupid

Again, you don't need to call animal control. I've handled snakes before and i believe the average person can handle the situation. It's entirely up to OP, but I think animal control is going to the extremes.
