My mouse wheel is broken

So apparently clicking the mouse wheel all the time isn't good for any of my mice. This is the second mouse wheel i've broken.
See, it's nothing I can see physically, it just doesn't register when I click most of the time, and when it does it often double clicks.
This happened to my last mouse too.

Can I fix this myself or do I just have to walk down to where it was purchased and have the guys there fix it?

Just don't worry about it, my middle mouse button doesn't click either, also my left mouse button will double click every so often. Best to just deal with it.

Buy a mouse that doesn't suck. Like a Kensington or a Logitech.

If you require a middle button to click than get a cheap $10-15 mouse. They usually last a long time before breaking. Unless you like, beat them with a hammer.
