Author Topic: EARTHQUAKE SCIENCE CLASS PROJECT IN BLOCKLAND [it didnt happen :(]  (Read 4860 times)

Maybe you can get some new users to cough up their twenty (or ten) dollars to Badspot.

Whichever way this goes, you've gotta tell us what happens

blockland + school = cringe
What do you plan to do on the day?

Okay, you can have all the computers run the demo, but the computer you're using to host the LAN server needs to have a key inputted. Then in the demo blocklands, just press on query lan and your server should appear. Just, by the way, it will use lan names and if nobody decides to mess with their avatar then everyone will be named Blockhead.

get a 16 GB USB stick  and copy all of your blockland files onto it, transfer to the computers, if you hadn't figured that one out yet.

No, all the students should download the .zip files themselves and extract it. It's faster that way. USB storage is s.  l.  o.  w.  .

you must be trying to transfer ~4 GB files everywhere then

also after you're done with this you should host a server and let us play this.

if you're gonna enter your key on one computer, and use the rest as demo, make sure some 7th grade bummer didn't put a keylogger on it. it's unlikely but possible. Also, don't forget to remove your key when you're done.

copy and paste

that'll stop the keyloggers!

there are different speeds of USB devices...
downloading directly would probably be prudent though.

this

Welp I got my first earthquake sound :D
I'm going to wait so either me or my teacher can activate it via /cmd command, and I'll make it so everybody's screen shakes with one of the invisible impulse explosions, I'll make it so everybody's vignette darkens and some things fall off of shelves with actual, mono sounds to them.

How much more time do you have to build this?

I need something coded.

To make this "cooperate and answer questions to get to the next area" thing go right, I need a specialized event.
Technically, heres how it can go. [somethingorother] - minigame - question (question here) (true or false)

Upon calling it, everybody gets a centerprint and a "TYPE TRUE OR FALSE" thing, and whatever the majority votes, that is what is 'picked' as a whole.

Then, onquestionright and onquestionwrong.

EDIT:
OH yeah, and the amount of time a question can go on, so there would be question (question) (true or false) (time to answer) if possible.
