Because younger kids like anything. I loving loved power rangers as a kid and now I see it and notice it's a pile of stuff.

What makes you like bethesda? It seems the older kids only seem to realize the huge terrible flaws about their games.

Or perhaps to them the fun has a bigger presence than the flaws? I enjoy Bethesda's games, the games are usually buggy to all hell and have quite a few issues, I still enjoy them though. Most of the people I know that enjoy Fallout and TES games don't hold it on a pedestal and claim it has no flaws, all games have flaws, but they still enjoy it because to them it's fun, to me it is also fun. To a large population they also see it as fun.

I'm not understanding the mindset that some of you guys have, where you think just because someone likes something you don't, that they must be ill informed about the subject. People like different things.

Only game i really like from Bethesda is Morrowind and Skyrim and even those are barely playable.

The rest is stuff.

oh my god youre really as stupid as people claim you to be

If you're playing fallout 3 for story, play elsewhere.

If you're playing fallout 3 for stealth, play elsewhere.

If you're playing fallout 3 for survival, play elsewhere.

If you're playing fallout 3 for RPG elements, play elsewhere.

If you're playing fallout 3 because it's like CoD to you on easy mode, continue playing.

The average skyrim player is actually a CoD casual because Skyrim caters to them. I fear for fallout 4.

video games are serious business

Going to just start ignoring Lord Tony, I'm not sure if he's trying to troll is is genuinely this stupid. Every post he makes it seems like "I'm going to put this here to get a reaction out of people" and if there isn't a big enough reaction he posts again ignoring the initial reactions to try again.

I'm not just talking about here, it's literally almost every topic he posts in, it's the exact same trend. The only exception there may be to this, is to point out flaws in someone's retort.

"CoD on easy mode" is redundant.

Classic Fallouts Factions
Brotherhood of Steel: Elitist group interested in hording and collecting the last bits of remaining technology. Lost relevancy with the introduction of the NCR and reclaimed technologies.
Super Mutants: Worshipped a false god who had the intentions of evolving the human race to end all conflicts. Ended up going their separate ways to live either as raiders or make their own settlements or carry out their god's will.
Raiders: Loose group of fighting factions that attack settlements for survival because they lack the knowledge of farming and survival.
Encalve: An unpopular and corrupt political party that managed to take over the remnants of the US government. Wanted to wipe out the inland population with FEV to maintain the purity of the human race so that they can recolonize the US once more.

Bethesda's take on factions
Brotherhood of Steel: An elitist group that wants to pretend they are King Arthur's knights and help the poor people. They embrace all that is good and want to make the water drinkable.
Super Mutants: Big green brutes created by a failed science expirment that want to kill everyone who is not one them. Abduct people to create more of them for no reason. They are basically orcs.
Raiders: Just some jerks who wear pots and pans and practice cannibalism. They are also junkies and people who like to shoot at people for no reason.
Enclave: They want to rebuild America by poisoning the remaining water supplies. They also elected a computer as their president and forgot about it. They are badguys that spit out 1950's 'merica propaganda.

[2:57:42 AM] Foxscotch: it keeps talking about “no reason,” like they read some one-paragraph plot summary or something instead of playing the game
[2:58:33 AM] Foxscotch: first of all, the people whose side you were on wanted to fix it so that it would purify the water, and people in the D.C. area would actually have clean water to drink
[2:59:07 AM] Foxscotch: while the enclave, your enemies, wanted to fix it so that they could fill it with FEV and kill or mutate everyone

[3:02:14 AM] Foxscotch: I’m not saying it’s a good plot
[3:02:26 AM] Foxscotch: but like
[3:02:31 AM] Foxscotch: if you’re gonna whine
[3:02:35 AM] Foxscotch: whine accurately

[3:04:59 AM] Foxscotch: I’m not gonna argue against what the guy said about the GECK, though
[3:05:06 AM] Foxscotch: like, seriously
[3:05:08 AM] Foxscotch: “The Kit has the appearance of a small, silver briefcase emblazoned with the letters "G.E.C.K."; according to Vault-Tec advertisements, it contains all the seeds, fertilizer, and other equipment (including a cold fusion power generator and a basic replicator) necessary to start a new settlement in a post-nuclear world after emerging from a Vault shelter.”
[3:05:23 AM] Foxscotch: and they wanna use it to purify water

and as the guy I was talking to made me realize, water can't even become radioactive. just the stuff in it. they literally could have just made simple water filters instead of wasting time and effort and an incredible machine on a water purifier

This annoyed the stuff out of me. Brotherhood are more neutral than good in Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas. They made fallout 3 way too closely after Oblivion.

The brotherhood outcasts seem like the only normal ones who have been doing what they were doing since the brotherhood started and they get kicked out for doing what was their tradition? Bullstuff.

They addressed that that branch of the Brotherhood of Steel wasn't doing what they were supposed to do.
