Doom not working

it says, "The program can't start because DPLAY.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
so i reinstalled but the same message popped up when i try to play one of the three dooms.
help would be appreciated.

or just load the doom wad files in a source port like zdoom
