This would be absolutely and incredibly stupid. There is no reliable way to detect whether a player has an add-on unless that addon has a client-side.

v21 did not break it. Being marked as a bad add-on did.
It was a private mod that never caused me to crash, so it was definitely not marked as a bad add-on. It stopped doing anything after v21, however.
Let me say this one more time. Badspot has issued several warnings saying not to do stuff like this. It does not work perfectly, and issues will occur.
Could you give a quote or two from badspot? Also, the only issue that occurred when the mod worked was with players who didn't have the mod you were loading, which could easily be solved by booting all players. (Excluding the host.)
It crashed everybody, because it was an add-on the host was developing.
