Worrying about not getting arrested is not 'stupid stuff'. It's a social obligation that most people try to follow.

am i understanding this right or are you saying that most people try to get arrested
"oh god, what if i don't get arrested?"

why
Because trying to make your life 'interesting' by breaking laws and getting arrested is stupid. I'd guess that people who try to do that have a lot of fun for a few weeks before violating parole and ending up in real, pound-me-in-the-ass prison, which is a lot less interesting and cool than most people think it is.

the point of this wasn't "get arrested" in the first place, i don't know why you're zeroing in on that. it was "have fun, be happy." that's it. if you wanna ruin that with your own stupid nitpicking go ahead.

Hey, you're the one who wrote it. Might not have been the central point of what you were saying, but you're still the one saying that getting arrested is fun  :cookieMonster:

idk man, it all sounds like 'YOLO' to me.

I prefer this so long as its legal and not against general accepted morals.
This is more limiting that you can imagine.

take it how you will, man. just take my advice, however you interpret it.
i don't think of it as 'YOLO', but something much more than that. either way, thinking like this has helped me a stuffton and hopefully it could do the same for you.

As far as I can tell, the best way to cope with mortality is to try and live a fulfilling life. Making irresponsible decisions is not fulfilling, at least in the long run. A ton of teenagers(and adults) think that doing stupid stuff is a reasonable way to make their lives interesting and fulfilling, but it's not. Making responsible decisions and acting like an adult is what leads to a fulfilling life. Doing stupid stuff and getting temporarily enthralled in the thrill of danger is great at first, but later breeds losers who enter adulthood unprepared for anything. How has it helped you?

Do something that'll make an impact in the future, or at least in someone else's life.
Already did.
By simply existing.

because i was always worried about the future, always thinking of death, the future, and the past. and, i don't know, thinking like this has helped me live in and for the moment, i guess. i'm happier. way happier. i'm more open, more confident, more tolerant, i guess. it's really hard to put it into words, but i feel it, and it's there.

I already DO make art, OP.
