if I can get some wall designs for the walls it may not look so bland, but unfortunately blockland doesn't have anything like that.
Try making some wood rimming around the base of the walls, and add some decorative rimming around the part meeting the cieling.

Here is an example from cieling to floor of a good wall design:

Tbh if blue is the way you want to go, that's okay, but I suggest use of some neutral colors such as grays and browns, and use blue as a highlight color.  It will make the blue stand out more and as a whole be less in-your-face.  Catch my drift?

The room is already done, once y'all see it, you'll notice how much effort I put into the room.  Already moved to the next room and its not fully done yet.  Once I get back in town from the classes I'm taking in another state, I'll take the advices and see what I can do to fix it up.  Once I can get back to my own computer, I'll take some pictures of what the room looks like and maybe the building from a game; that's right, the museum I am building in BL is from a game, an old game that no one ever plays anymore, but younger generation doesn't know this game at all.  This game was released in 1995 from the Sierra company and its best known for its atmosphere and puzzles.  I'm building it because I thought it might be an opportunity to explore it in a 3D effect so you can explore the museum without looking at it as if your looking at picture after picture just like the older games during the early and late 90's.  I hope this brightens things up or gives you the idea of what I'm trying to accomplish, but if that's not enough for any of you, maybe I should stop building it all together.  I just want to do something for the BL community and maybe use the build for a Renderman game.

I do apologize for being a little harsh in my last post, since I am new to this project of mine, the tension does get to you and I do promise to give you more photos to show the full extent of the rooms I am creating.  Hope you accept this apology for my rudeness and hope I can get more of this project done and share each updates with you guys.  Right now, the project is left untouched because of real life stuff and I'll be back home on April 20th.
