for freebuild servers and servers that don't allow you to build, you could open up a UI and get to become playertypes without needing to place a block.
it would disable in minigames.
that's it.

I don't understand what you want.

I don't understand what you want.
when you open a client GUI, it has a drop-down menu that lists all available datablocks. when you choose one, you become that datablock.

use datablocks without needing to place a block.
This suggests something with brick placements

when you choose one, you become that datablock
This suggests playertypes

I don't understand what you want.
I also don't think you understand what a datablock is

OP, either you are not good at explaining things or you are high. Can you tell us what exactly you thing a datablock is?

Do you mean you want a gui that lets you change your playertype without placing a brick and adding the event to do it?

playertype
*facepalm*
I thought it was just called datablocks... but Yes, that.

You would need a server side then.. You can't really change yourself client sided, either way if you tried the server side wouldn't recognize you.

You sort of could do it clientside if you had some sort of auto-macro to place a brick and then event it + click on it, but that requires a brick, which is as close as you can get.
Serverside's your best bet, yeah.

for freebuild servers and servers that don't allow you to build

what the forget

so OP basically wants to cheat by changing player types on a TDM server or something (servers that don't allow you to build.)

This was like super obvious for me
If the server has the mod, the client can morph datablocks with a GUI.

It's obvious to everyone who has no idea of how the game works
