It sounds as if you were going towards the wobbly-synth-and-rough-saw end of the DnB spectrum. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, except that type of music really only sounds good if you have a vast knowledge of mixing and mastering (Not to mention expensive equipment like monitors and audio interfaces). And even then it's very subjective. I'd recommend you try something with a more melodic, more emotional feel to it. I've found that this type of music translates much better to your audience when your mixing and mastering skills are still at an ametuer level.
I'd suggest listening to Muffler or Klute.
Muffler - Hear me scream
Muffler - Waves Breaking
Klute - Saviour
Thanks, but just so you know, I don't limit myself to this type of music. I have made a fairly wide variety of stuff, which you can check out here if you want:
http://soundcloud.com/lloid-1 (you'll have to sift through all my reposts, lol). And as you said, it's very subjective. I am working on developing my own style - I don't want it to be like other peoples'. Even still, I recognize that I'm still learning, but I've found that the best way to learn how to make this kind of music is to simply make it.
On a side note, this one was mixed on my less-than-good headphones, so if it sounds a bit off in some ways, it's partially due to me not being able to detect it. :/
