Author Topic: Possible BLHack.dll fix  (Read 4528 times)

I saw someone use a hack on zapks rising lava. Baddy should do this

Couldn't Badspot press charges against computermix?

All that does to hackers is piss them off, there braking the law already, think they give two stuffs? all that would do is create a retaliation from Computer and probably friends of his

the point is to try to make it harder for hackers to hack. all your crappy logic is not even logic. it's just saying "oh yeah there's gonna be a robbery at my corner store so there's no point in putting in alarms or calling the police"

this is the whole reason security measures exist. why the hell do you think anti-virus programs exist? they loving help your computer against viruses. they may not work ALL THE TIME, but hey it helps. if your computer is likely going to get a virus, then with your stuff logic, why would you even have an antivirus program?

Anti-Virus programs are setup to prevent viruses from anyone who creates one, pressing charges on a SINGLE person would make it personal

again, the point is to try to make it harder for hackers to hack. badspot likely doesnt want people hacking his game. do you think he should just go "well, shucks. people are going to hack my game anyway, might as well not do anything whatsoever and make it easy as stuff for them to hack my game."?

Do you think Badspot gives a stuff abiut blhack at this point?

okay so let's not do anything because blhack doesnt even matter anymore????????????????????????????????????

you guys are jokes, lol.

I'm just saying not to bother pressing charges on the creators of blhack

I think you're missing his point, nowhere does it say that you can get sued for that.

Honestly I think a better idea here is just to just have everyone burn their computers, that'll for certain fix the problem.

Guess were forgeted. Event though computermix TOLD badspot some of the exploits he used. He also explained how to patch them. Computermix is the biggest troll 2014
sounds like it's badspot's fault for not patching the stuff
In order for Badspot to be able to press charges for reverse engineering the game, the EULA would have to state that, upon violation of said terms, you are liable and can have legal action taken against you.
bingo. basically he can just revoke the key.

why is he going to do this bullstuff that can be easily circumvented? why not just loving fix the client-server relationship problem that allows for floathacking?

it's a lost cause - anti-hacking measures are almost totally a lost cause, and the time spent making new methods isn't worth it to badspot.
do you even code?

I think the solution would be to implement detection that silently reports offenders, gather up a big list of them, then publicly ban them all at once alongside any keys used by the same people. No way to forcefully stop these kinds of people, but the idea would be to scare people away from the idea of hacking the game. So you might be left with a few people who know how to forget the game up, but when they share their tricks around, people end up thinking "forget no I ain't touching that stuff" out of fear that they could be added to the next mass-ban list. If it's still a big problem, repeat the process with a different detection method. Otherwise just deal with the last few on a case-by-case basis.

bingo. slightly like vac-banning. infinitely more effective than playing cat and mouse with people who can keep working on their tricks forever.

this whole 'deep' discussion about hacking being an eternal yin yang balance is cute and all, but couldn't you just fix it so players fall even when they aren't sending a packet or whatever? this is a problem with the game beyond just the 'hack' as well. it seems like it'd be a real easy patch compared to the other two, and aimbot will always be useless

the wallhack is the one i hate the most though. it really ruins hide and seek/"stealth" games. even in simple deathmatches you can't hide behind corners or in crates. the wallhack is by far the hardest to detect/fight against as an admin. the only way of patching it i can see is just removing the other player objects from the client if they can't be seen or something, and that would probably turn out really bad.

Yes, Badspot can.
