Author Topic: Screen Flickering Issues  (Read 2759 times)

I've played Blockand for quite some time now and i just bought a new PC but whenever I enter a game, the screen starts flickering super fast. and i don't know why?

►Here are the following things I've tried.

             ▪ Made sure monitor, graphics and processor were up to date.
             ▪ Tinkered with the refresh rate.
             ▪ Enabled V-Sync.
             ▪ Restarted Steam quite a few times.
             ▪ Uninstalled it from my PC a=then reinstalled it.

Hopefully soon I'll be getting a new graphics, and new processor, in the meantime if someone could help me out whose had this same issue, it'd be much appreciated :)

Check all display settings and cables, and also make sure there are no loose wires hanging out.

I've already tried that.. I forgot to mention it, but I'll check again thank you.

Does this happen with other 3D games?
Have you tried changing the settings of your graphics card?
Mainly the 3D rendering settings.

Sounds like it might be a problem specific to opengl games.  I'd suggest trying to update or reinstall (uninstall then reinstall) your graphics drivers.  You'll find plenty of guides for this around, but if they recommend you install any software that's not from your graphics chipset's manufacturer's website, they're probably trying to give you viruses.  This is something that should be reasonably possible without third party software.

delete system32

It might be a graphics card problem, what is your current card?
