Well, second cousins are a generation less closely related, in a sense.

It wouldn't be too weird, since by that time you've always mixed in enough out of family DNA, so the chances of anything bad to happen is severely less.

Though I don't condone it, all forms of cousin dating seems safer. The higher they are (first, second, third) the farther away their DNA is from the source.
