Author Topic: mass stabbing at pittsburgh school, 20 injured  (Read 4763 times)

If we ban just one thing there are a million other things a person can use as a weapon

Say "BAN EVERYTHING HEUKEUKEUK" and i'll shank you

BAN EVERYTHING HEUKEUKEUK

woops we also banned shanks

It doesn't matter what we ban, people are always going to find a way to kill other people.  As a matter of fact, I think that school staff should not only be allowed to have guns with them but they should be encouraged.  When a shooter (or in this case, a stabber) sees that an area is a gun free zone, like just about every school in America is, that doesn't deter him from going in there and loving stuff up.  Its not like he sees the sign and thinks "Oh well, that's a gun free zone! Guess I'll have to find someplace else to shoot up, because if I took my gun in there I'd be breaking the law!"

It boggles my mind to see that some people actually believe that putting up "gun free zone" signs are going to somehow prevent shootings, all that does is disarm the law abiding citizens so that it is easier for a gunman to shoot stuff without meeting any resistance.

let's not give staff guns. school staff are crazy as stuff (well the school i went to)

instead, let's throw some more armed police officers in there and not suspend students for a month because they brought a plastic knife to school lunch

also have people actually look at the cameras and not just keep them up there to scare people (which it doesn't)

There are so many mass stabbings, the government is going to want to take away our knives now

He/she probably stabbed twenty people because he/she was called bossy.

Cause' we all know how crushing that word is.

Violent video games did it. Ban GTA.

It was Blockland.  The kid was banned from the forums.

But in all seriousness, I hope everyone's okay.

We should place automated turrets in schools programmed to shoot everybody. That way, no humans will have to do the shooting for us!

It doesn't matter what we ban, people are always going to find a way to kill other people.

I think it would be better if we just had stricter limits for getting a gun in the first place since having them is so ingrained in American culture that it's like what

...okay I'm scared now
And you know what, what if the teacher is the honor student? The teacher could easily shoot many of the students before another member of the school staff can leave reach the class. Even then, most of the times classroom doors are locked and are only openable from the inside.

I think having a gun wouldn't help matters at all. Imagine, you have to shoot the shooter through people that are running away. Besides that, once you pull out the gun, who knows which one is the real shooter? If you shoot the real murderer, people will just think in a panic that you're actually the murderer, and shoot you instead. And if the person you shot dies, you'd probably be arrested since it's illegal to use lethal force, even in self defense.

It doesnt matter that you can still kill people without them, guns are simply much more lethal than any other common weapon in the nation. The problem isnt the weapons anyways, its that there are students who are willing to murder other people

The problem is that in the US, gun safety is not mandatory before purchasing a gun. If that wasn't the case, the number of shootings that have been stopped could be a lot higher, and it may also reduce manslaughter charges.

Instead of teachers being the ones carrying weapons, schools should just have armed police patrols/security guards in them like mine does.

its probably because we have a constitutional right to buy weapons?

pff yeah because a gun free zone means people wont illegally take weapons into schools and shoot them up uninhibited anyways

In Cross v. State, the Court found that the Due Process of Law clause in the state constitution guaranteed "the inherent and inalienable right to protect property."

However, when an assailant ceases to be a threat (e.g. by being tackled and restrained, surrendering, or fleeing), the defense of justification will fail if the defending party presses on to attack or to punish beyond imposing physical restraint.

I find it funny how people don't trust teachers being armed. There's little in difference between a teacher and a police officer except physical training. And besides, gun safety isn't difficult to teach.
