this is dumb

i like windows but god damn there is 0% customability

i kind of like linux but god damn there is 0% compatability

convince me forums

(also give me a distro)

this would be going on my main computer

Intel Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz
8GB ram
Geforce GTX 680

No, don't.

It's not worth it for the customization aspect.

i think you forgot about our many great dolphin wallpapers and free smileys

if you're looking for hardware customization, we have plenty of ram downloaders available

don't do it unless you're ready for it and know what you're doing

i think (intrinsic) compatibility is more valuable than customisation-ness

sudo apt-get install toilet

Windows is customizable to most peoples likings. Things like Rainmeter really help with that, and I greatly suggest it if you want customizability in Windows. Linux is going to take a long time to get used to for someone whose worked with windows all their life.

Ubuntu. Can run steam (with supported games coming in by the days), hard to get viruses on, looks ok and is customizable (to an extent).

Linux can be very complicated at times and I often found myself using the terminal, I'd reccomend to only use it in a VM unless you are completely sure. Or try double-booting.
