Author Topic: My Parents don't want to let me stay on when I want.  (Read 3620 times)

You could always respect your parents decision, since they're only limiting you for a small part of the night, when you would probably be better off either sleeping or doing something more productive, like reading, rather than just chatting to strangers across the internet.

It's hardly a big issue, and you are a minor and your parents are the ones providing everything for you. The least you could do is abide by their rather loose rules.

The fact that you're trying to find ways to go behind their backs might just prove that you're not really mature enough in their eyes to have access to the internet all night.

You should beat them up.
But since when did birds have access to the internet huehue

Man just go to sleep. 10 pm is a perfect time to go to bed, especially for a young'n like you.

if I was any other forumer, i'd probably tell you to "stick it in their pooper"

since that is not an acceptable option, i shall tell you to honor and obey your parents.

it's annoying when you have a limit like that but like w/e man you need your sleep just go to bed

yeah and tbh i can speak from a position of experience that my parents arent too strict on when i have to stop using the computer, and what always ends up happening is i stay up past midnight playing skyrim

and i wake up the next morning tired as ever and wishing id gone to bed earlier

idk, wanting to do something besides sleep after 11:00 didn't sound very bratty

It doesn't sound bratty, it sounds idiotic.

My parents enabled Windows Family Safety, but it's pretty loose. The time window is 7am to 1am, but I got it to 2pm because I forgot to save something, and they gave me a chance to save it. It somehow auto-logs-out if I stay logged in and the time expires so

They forgot to change it back so woot

SORRY I MEANT AM OKAY

how do you even cope with that

Start installing some program that does not require admin access. Start command prompt as admin and then ask your parents for permission to install something really basic which is totally unrelated to what you're trying to do. Once they get past UAC, switch back to the installation of that program and wait for them to leave. Then, run this command:

net local group administrator "Your account name" /add

That sounds the very opposite of loose
Unless that window is the time you're not allowed to use it

I edited sory
I meant 7am to 1am

can you install another windows that could go unnoticed? XD
