Someone joined! So ya, I think it's just you, Train.

did you stop hosting? i can't see the server in the list

Yes, I closed it because it's already late.

I'll host tomorrow night, if it keeps working...

tbh not really, its not that complicated as long as you've got a solid admin team
if you remenber, the only reason brackets didn't set it any higher was because his internet couldn't handle it
having a high playercount can be fun
a little chaos is always fun
i mean, it is mafia madness, not mafia snore or whatever
i think anything above sixteen is ridiculous for gameplay reasons still

I like 16, too, but I can live with up to 18, as long as everyone there has played before and knows what they are doing. And I believe 18 is the minimum amount of players you can have for there to be 5 mafia. This, however, only happens occasionally because you don't always have 18 active players in one round. I like for there to be 5 mafia every once in a while.

Anything above that becomes too hectic for me and it's way too difficult to keep track of numbers and bodies, and sometimes rule-breakers.

And I don't think the madness should stem from the chaos that ensues from there being 22 people in a round. It should come from the confusion that the mafia create, or that the innocents create accidentally.

Also, the higher the playercount, the higher the rule-break count, in general.

i think the ratio of inno to maf is 3.5:1 iirc

-blok-, please host now.

Ok, I just port forwarded and people started joining. But after a few minutes, they all crash. They lag out and get disconnected. Could this have anything to do with the recent port forward? It wasn't happening last time I port forwarded.

Ok, someone try joining now. You should be able to join, but I would like to see if you end up lagging out. I changed a few things and I'd like to see if it's done anything.

Part of MM setup is to always load the reload datablocks before people play. The mod has to make a "slow" datablock, and if you do it while people are there, they'll get disconnected. Are you doing this?

I don't know what you're talking about.

And I'm starting the game like I always have and it worked in the past.

when you reload the gun, it makes a datablock (only once though donwory)

it was a workaround for non-standard using the gun with non-standard datablocks

before people join, just shoot an mm gun and reload it to avoid issues

Nope, 2 people just crashed.

Ok, can someone try joining now? I changed something else that might work.
