Even if no more problems with the home-hosting happen, would you pay $4.00/month if HammerHost was still run at home?

Yes, home hosting will stabilize and become more reliable
No, I feel comfortable only with a remote dedicated server

No. The hosting service will go premium-only sometime during July.

No, I did it from scratch, the elements, form, css ect
I updated the control panel's layout 1 week ago, and I am planning to update the rest of the site later, so I will make a decision soon. Please give me all the source code and I will decide if I want to use your design or not.

Well, enjoy the free slots while they last! It's simply not worthwhile continuing as a free-only hosting service forever and wasting $.
Plus I have a plan to allow Steam authentication!

Also I updated the photos of the control panel on the first page. Sorry for forgetting so long.

I'll give you a slot next week or something once I am done with all this instant BLS loading stuff.

I'm sure people wouldn't have a problem paying as long as it's reliable. Good luck.

you scrub.

in this day and age, i dislike things simply because they are free. it dosnt say much about the quality of something when its got no value.

cbm is free and is still hosted a datacenter
talk about cheap

Yes. When HammerHost goes premium, I am probably going to use a remote server. My plan is to get a cheap Linux VPS and run a Windows virtual machine on it. Blockland takes too much CPU on Wine.

However, if home-hosting turns out to be more reliable for the next 1 month, I may consider not getting a remote server. It all depends on the opinion of the community. If they think it's unreliable based on what happened in April, regardless of how much it stabilizes later, I will not get any customers.

This will never result in a premium service, a virtual machine ontop of a virtual machine won't be performant or stable. It's probably not even possible on most hosts, virtualization requires specific kernel modules that I doubt most providers compile into their kernels.

The community has spoken.

Yes, but their opinion may change after one month.

Well that sucks. The Linux provider was offering 8 GB RAM, 6 CPU cores, 120 GB disk and 2 IP addresses for just $40/month! That is a great deal, but I now I cannot use it.

I could just get a Windows VPS, but Server mania, Contabo, and Hosting above each do not have enough single-core CPU power for a paid hosting service.

So my only options are to either continue home-hosting, or get a remote dedicated server.

No-brainer.

No-brainer.
Okay.

It looks like HammerHost can get a 24 GB DDR3 RAM, Core i7 950, 1.5 TB storage and 1 Gbps unlimited bandwidth, dedicated server located in Germany for just $50/month! This is too good of a deal to throw away, and I will insist on it before the next business internet billing cycle occurs on June 7.
