They have already been started. If you want me to start yours up manually, I can do that.

Unfortunately, due to the recent DDoS attack, I will have to shut down the hosting service for an indefinite period of time. Clients will not be able to download their files right now, but they will once the attack goes away. If you have any questions please ask, but flamers are not welcome.

1 by 1 hosting services get taken down by one kid. its sad that DDoS attacks are still possible.

This is why we need personally managed hosting services.

If I could buy a VPS, install HamHost software on it, and manage it from the cloud, I would be so happy.

Anyone else agree? I'm in it for the server control, not the hosting service itself.

Is a DDoS attack which nobody can defend against really a result of the questionable reliability of my home hardware, or my apparent lack of experience? Also remember that HammerHost would have been dead 2.5 months ago if I had chosen to continue using Server Mania.
