a holocaust is slaughter on a mass scale. taking away people's citizenship is not a holocaust
Holocaust actually takes it's name from the ancient Greek and Jewish practice of ritual sacrifice through burning.
Greeks and later on Jews, would burn sacrificial animals on an altar to please their gods/God.
The term Holocaust for what occured in WW2 is derived from the fact that the Jews were burnt during their confinement.
It's twisting the term for a Jewish practice to cover what the national socialists were doing to Jews and others.
There's not really a Holocaust unless people's bodies, or people, are being burnt up.
The better term for the Holocaust as a type of thing is a Genocide. This isn't a Genocide, but neither is it a Holocaust strictly speaking. It's not even imprisonment in concentration camps.
It might be an unfair act, but it's not a Holocaust nor a Genocide.
